  1. Still Missing launched my kindle (2nd purchase but 1st thriller). I'm about halfway in and can't put it down (I'm sneaking peaks at work). It's terrific so far ...

  2. I tried to post a comment earlier, but I think the internet ate it, silly thing. If this is a duplicate, my apologies!

I'm partway through "Still Missing" and I have to say congratulations on an exceptional book!

I work for Seattle Mystery Bookshop, and this is a debut our collectors would love to have signed (especially those who are fans of Gillian Flynn, whom we adore), but sadly, your publicist said it was not to be.

If you're down this way, do please stop in and say hi, and congratulations again on an excellent debut!

  3. Hi Fran--

You're earlier comment did make it through, but I have to moderate them before they appear on the site and I hadn't had a chance yet. I'm so glad you're enjoying STILL MISSING! Hopefully I'll get to visit your book store in the future. I was in Seattle this March and loved your city!

  4. We've been having computer problems, so I wasn't sure. Silly creatures, computers!

I see in your acknowledgements you thank Lisa Gardner. Is this the same Lisa G who'll be in here to sign next Friday, author of TRUTH TO TELL? If so, your ears will probably be buzzing, 'cause we'll definitely be talking about you!

In any case, we should have a review of STILL MISSING going out in our weekly ezine next Friday, just so's ya know.

Again, congratulations, and we look forward to meeting you in person.

  7. Hi Charlie--

Thanks so much for your nice email and your lovely review!! I'm really glad you liked the book! And BTW, my trainer tells me if you can read while on the machines, you're not really working out, but I disagree! How else are you supposed to make exercise fun!

  13. Lisa G. is here now, talking up your book to anyone who walks in. It just occurred to all of us to have a joint signing with the two of you, now when it's too late, of course!

But she's absolutely pushing your book!

  15. I bought your book Still Missing. I'm only a third of the way through but just wanted to say I have been hooked from page 1! Very realistic, powerful, no sugar coating. Reading about Annie being locked in the cabin with her captor(The Freak) is definitely intense. It reminded me of the only other time I've been scared while reading a book(Misery by Stephen King when the writer was locked in the house of that crazy woman). You captured the creepy aura perfectly. I look forward to your next novel!
